    School Introduction

    The University of Adelaide is located in the heart of Adelaide, South Australia. It is one of the six Sandstone Universities in Australia and a member of the prestigious Group of Eight (Go8) universities in Australia.

    The university has four campuses: North Terrace, Waite, Roseworthy, and Thebarton. The North Terrace campus, situated in the city center, is the main teaching campus and a research hub, housing several renowned scientific research institutions. It has close collaborations with the Art Gallery and Museum of South Australia. The Waite campus is one of the best places in the Southern Hemisphere for plant and agricultural sciences, with research in crop and farming systems, viticulture, winemaking, food science, and nutrition. The Roseworthy campus is an internationally recognized center for dryland agriculture and animal production, and it is the only institution in South Australia offering animal and veterinary education and research.

    The University of Adelaide has made significant contributions to the development of South Australia and the nation, with three national research centers and twelve collaborative research centers. Its strengths include biotechnology, information technology, wine management, accounting, economics, and more. Five of Australia’s eight Nobel Laureates are alumni of the university, and it has produced over 100 Rhodes Scholars. The university is highly regarded for its research in biotechnology, molecular biology, information and communication engineering, and environmental and natural resource management.
