Founded in 1614, the University of Groningen is one of the oldest traditional universities in the Netherlands, internationally renowned for its top-notch academic research. The ten faculties are: Arts, Behavioural and Social Sciences, Economics and Business, Law, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Medicine, Philosophy, Spatial Information, and Theology and Religious Studies.
