The University of Twente (UT) is located in Enschede, the Netherlands, and is a renowned European university. It is the youngest among the 13 national research universities in the Netherlands and one of the four members of the 4TU Federation, alongside Eindhoven University of Technology, Delft University of Technology, and Wageningen University. Enschede is situated near the German border and has an excellent location at the center of the triangular area formed by the capitals Paris, London, and Berlin, with just a two-hour drive to Amsterdam. The University of Twente is the only modern university in the Netherlands with an American-style campus. The university covers approximately 1.4 million square meters and includes six international-standard football fields. The campus is beautiful and well-equipped with facilities. The University of Twente has six faculties: the Faculty of Behavioral, Management, and Social Sciences (BMS), the Faculty of Engineering Technology (ET/CTW), the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (EEMCS/EWI), the Faculty of Science and Technology (TNW), the Faculty of Geo-information Science and Earth Observation (ITC), and the ATLAS Faculty (Technology, Liberal Arts and Sciences). UT is one of the most entrepreneurial universities in Europe, having supported and guided over 750 startup companies. One of its notable successes is the online booking website, Booking.com. Additionally, the university fosters a strong entrepreneurial atmosphere, with a dedicated technology park (Kennispark) for innovative students, where over 400 companies are currently based.
