UK Recent Entry Regulations [Updated 2021/09/24]

The UK announced that from 2021/10/4, it will cancel the original "traffic light system" and retain only the "red list countries" to simplify entry regulations for travelers. Depending on vaccination status and the departure country, the following corresponding rules will apply:

1. Entering from a "non-red list" country with two doses of vaccination:

1. Pre-book a test package and take a COVID-19 test on day 2 of quarantine

2. Complete the passenger locator form (PLF) within 48 hours before departure

2. Entering from a "non-red list" country but not yet fully vaccinated with two doses:

1. Complete a COVID-19 test within 3 days before departure and obtain a negative result

2. Quarantine for 10 days at a residence of choice

3. Pre-book a test package and take a COVID-19 test on day 2 and day 8 of quarantine

4. Complete the passenger locator form (PLF) within 48 hours before departure

5. You may take a self-funded test on day 5 of quarantine. If the result is negative, the quarantine can end (Test to Release Scheme)

3. Entering from a "red list" country:

1. Complete a COVID-19 test within 3 days before departure and obtain a negative result

2. Quarantine for 10 days at a government-approved hotel

3. Pre-book a test package and take a COVID-19 test on day 2 and day 8 of quarantine

4. Complete the passenger locator form (PLF) within 48 hours before departure

Note 1: Only applicable to UK, Irish nationals, or those with UK residency rights.

Note 2: This test is voluntary and must be scheduled by the individual through a private testing facility before departure.
