    The University of Birmingham is a British university established in 1900 in the city of Birmingham, England. It was the first "red brick" university in the UK and is one of the country's top universities, as well as a founding member of the Russell Group. The university is very popular among international students.

    The campus is home to the iconic 100-meter high red clock tower, the Joseph Chamberlain Tower, which is currently the tallest free-standing clock tower in the world. The university also owns the Barber Institute of Fine Arts, housing works by Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, and Claude Monet. The Lapworth Museum of Geology and the Joseph Chamberlain Tower are also popular attractions in Birmingham.
