    School Introduction

    Orange Coast College (OCC), established in 1947, is a public two-year community college and one of the largest and most comprehensive community colleges in California. The college is located in Costa Mesa, Orange County, close to California's most popular beaches, Disneyland, museums, and shopping areas. Orange County is also a short drive to both Los Angeles and San Diego. The school enrolls over 24,000 students per semester, making it a mid-sized community college. Orange Coast College offers more than 130 associate degree programs and certificate courses, with many students transferring to the University of California and California State University systems. It ranks among the top three for the number of transfers to UC and CSU systems. Additionally, many students transfer to private colleges and universities both within California and nationwide. OCC's popular programs include Business, Engineering, Hospitality, Technology, Arts, Maritime, Communications, Humanities, Restaurant Management, and Architecture. The college offers over 60 student clubs, including student government, cultural clubs, and sports/recreational clubs. The campus has more than 80 buildings, including an observatory, 3D metal printers, art and design studios, an aquarium, and computer labs for student use.
