School Introduction

The University of Toronto is Canada's leading institution and a federally funded research university, founded in 1827. It has nurtured countless world-class leaders, and its international rankings are also remarkable. For example, in 2019, the university ranked 29th in QS World University Rankings, 18th in Times Higher Education, and 24th in the Shanghai Rankings, solidifying its position as Canada's top university and one of the most prestigious universities worldwide.

International students make up about 30% of the total student population at the University of Toronto, with the majority coming from the United States, Hong Kong, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and China. The globalized environment allows students to not only engage in classroom discussions but also experience multiculturalism through extracurricular activities and daily life, enriching their study abroad experience.

The University of Toronto has three campuses located in Ontario: St. George Campus (downtown Toronto), Scarborough Campus (UTSC) in the east, and Mississauga Campus (UTM) in the west. Together, the three campuses offer over 700 undergraduate programs and more than 300 graduate programs across various fields such as humanities, life sciences, physical and mathematical sciences, and business management, providing students with opportunities to develop their skills and knowledge.

The St. George Campus is the oldest and largest campus, known for its liberal arts colleges. The Scarborough Campus, established in 1964, focuses on visual arts, humanities, social sciences, and business studies, and offers unique co-op programs for paid internships to enhance practical experience. The Mississauga Campus, established in 1965, is located in one of Canada’s largest cities, offering proximity to numerous international companies, providing excellent career prospects for students during and after their studies.
