South Seattle College was established in 1969 as a comprehensive, community-based school. It is one of the schools in the Seattle Colleges system, with 15,000 students from Seattle and 35 countries worldwide. The school offers a variety of vocational and technical programs, particularly known for its innovative and quality career-preparation courses in aviation, healthcare, and hospitality management.
Students who complete a two-year degree program can continue to earn a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree at South Seattle College. The 2+2 transfer degree program (Associate of Arts or Science, 2+2 Transfer Degree Program) helps students meet the requirements to transfer to a bachelor's degree program. International students can request a Transfer Admissions Guarantee letter (TAG) to guarantee transfer to a prestigious partner university in the U.S. upon being accepted by South Seattle College.
