School Introduction

George Mason University offers over 200 bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs across 12 academic fields through innovative education models. Students at Mason can create their own degree programs tailored to their interests by combining multiple majors, minors, and certificates they wish to pursue.

George Mason University has three campuses located in Northern Virginia, with the main campus situated in downtown Fairfax, VA. It is less than a 45-minute commute by public transport to Washington, D.C., and Fairfax combines the charm of a small town with the convenience of a big city.

Fairfax Campus is a safe, suburban campus with a beautiful environment. Students can walk just 10 minutes to historic sites in downtown Fairfax. Unique restaurants, numerous shops, dreamy parks, and many free community activities make Fairfax one of the most desirable places to live in the U.S.

Arlington Campus is about 30 minutes east of Fairfax and is very close to Washington, D.C. This campus offers graduate-level courses and programs, including the MBA, Management and Arts Management programs, the School of Conflict Analysis and Resolution, the School of Policy, Government, and International Affairs, and the Law School.

Science and Technology Campus is about 30 minutes west of Fairfax and focuses on cutting-edge academic, research, and business activities. Only a few bachelor's or master's programs are taught here.
