The University of Calgary is located in the southwest of Calgary, Alberta, and is one of Canada's top seven research universities. Calgary is the third largest city in Canada, situated between Vancouver to the west and Toronto to the east. It is the economic, financial, and cultural center of Alberta, with the highest density of engineers in Canada and has been ranked as one of the cleanest cities in the world.
Calgary has fewer Asian students, making it an ideal place to improve English proficiency, expand international perspectives, and increase the potential for Canadian immigration. Additionally, Calgary's tax rates are lower, which means tuition fees and living costs are also more affordable than in larger cities like Vancouver and Toronto.
The University of Calgary is dedicated to the research and development of information processing technology and medical technology, with extensive research facilities including hospitals, environmental research centers, observatories, libraries, theaters, museums, art galleries, and Canada's most advanced sports facilities.
The university has thirteen faculties, which include the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Environmental Design, Graduate School, Faculty of Kinesiology, Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Business, Faculty of Social Work, and Faculty of Law.
Numerous research institutes and centers at the University of Calgary have long been focused on specialized research in fields such as law, energy, environment, engineering, software, and humanities, achieving significant results.
