    The University of Connecticut (UConn), founded in 1881, is located in Storrs, Mansfield, Connecticut. It has four additional campuses: Avery Point (in Groton), Stamford, Greater Hartford (in West Hartford), and Waterbury. UConn is often referred to as a "public Ivy" and boasts a student body of over 30,000, including nearly 8,000 graduate students. In the 2020 U.S. News rankings, UConn is placed 64th in the United States. The university offers 102 undergraduate programs, with its business school ranked 50th, and in graduate studies, it ranks 74th in business, 37th in education, 29th in pharmacy, 38th in public relations, and 9th in public finance and budgeting. UConn is known for its strong NCAA athletic teams, especially its men's and women's basketball teams, both of which have won multiple championships.
