York University is a comprehensive university located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is the second-largest university in Ontario and the third-largest in Canada. The university is well known for its programs in business administration, law, fine arts and design, film, humanities, social sciences, and psychology. York University has over 50,000 registered students, with more than 5,000 international students from 157 countries.
The university consists of two campuses and two centers. The main campus, located on Keele Street in the northwest part of Toronto, spans 550 acres, with the majority of its departments located here. In addition, it has the Glendon campus, the Miles S. Nadal Management Centre, and the Osgoode Hall Law School Professional Development Centre.
The Schulich School of Business at York University is one of the best business schools in Canada and has been ranked among the top 25 business schools globally. The school established Canada's first international MBA program (IMBA) and was also the first to offer integrated courses in areas such as financial services, real estate management, and arts and media management. York University is also the first university in Ontario to offer a program in fine arts design, and it is the largest provider of such programs. The Osgoode Hall Law School is one of the largest and oldest law schools in Canada, offering undergraduate and graduate law programs.
The Lassonde School of Engineering, founded in 2011, is known for its Renaissance Engineering philosophy and is unique in its approach to creating more well-rounded engineers through specialized courses.
