Queen's University, founded in 1814, is a top public university located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, 26 years before the founding of Canada. Kingston is a historically rich and safe town with a population of 120,000, where the locals are friendly, and the city enjoys good security. It is situated by Lake Ontario and serves as the center of the Thousand Islands vacation region, making it ideal for water activities. The city is also conveniently located within two to three hours of travel from Ottawa, Toronto, and Montreal.
Kingston is home to three major institutions: Queen's University, the Royal Military College, and St. Lawrence College, making it a university town full of tradition, culture, and history. The university campus features unique neoclassical and Gothic Revival architecture built from limestone, with many buildings over 100 years old. Most of the teaching buildings on the main campus are concentrated, and it takes about 15 minutes to walk from one end of the campus to the other.
